I like just watching TED talks, and Karmatube blips - those always seem to have good stuff on them.

Same here TED's awesome. Then if you have an ipad theres an app called science 360 (or something like that) which links to short various science infos from a bunch of different sources that can be interesting to browse thru.

That was actually really interesting. My grandfather went through a stroke, and exhibits the same things. Language is harder for him, and he can't distinguish between past/present/future anymore (you can't tell him you're visiting in a week, because he will expect you to be there that same day). He has a harder time moving around during the day, although at night he sleepwalks - sleepruns.. strange, during the day he moves so slowly, and night in his sleep he can easily run around... anyways, he does seem to be in right-brain-mode, and he is happy, they call him "smiley" at the center.
