Let's see what you know about nutrition and pregnancy.

11.  A hotly debated topic at the moment!  Personally, I strongly suggest staying away from alcohol during pregnancy. 


12.  False.  An expectant mother can eat up to 12 oz of fish per week safely according to the FDA.  Avoid: Shark, Swordfish, King Mackerel, and tile fish (www.cfsan.fda.gov).


13.  False.  There are herbal preparations that contraindicted in pregnancy specifically because they can cause a miscarriage. 


14.  True.  If you have soda or coffee, you should drink 2x the amount of that in water to help rehydrate your body.


15. Cottage Cheses, Leafy Green Vegetables, Tofu


16  Drink until you are no longer thirsty.  There is no "magic" number.  Women in drier, hotter climates will naturally need more water but their body will guide them.  You should be going to the bathroom every 1 1/2 -2 hours adn your urine should be pale yellow or clear; this is how you KNOW you are not dehydrated.

To number 12. My sister got mercury poisoning from a can of white albacore tuna and I've read that they may have higher concentrates of mercury so I would avoid the white albacore. Better to be safe then sorry. I hear regular tuna is fine though.
