new.familysearch

I am currently a Consultant in our Branch here in IA.  We have been training on the new.familysearch for a few months.  Our Temple district (Nauvoo) is supposed to be scheduled for roll-out within weeks. All during the time since I completed the nine online courses I have received "Practice Lessons"  I would use my own family information to do them.  It has been a bit overwhelming at times, as I bounce back/forth between Temple Ready which is what we are still using in our FHC and helping our Director and one other consultant learn the NFS.

I did get an email about finding a compatible program for nfs as PAF does not interface with nfs.  You have to either GEDCOM transfer, which can be lengthy, or use a different program.  If anyone here has successfully found a program that interfaces well with NFS..please let us know

There is also a new Pilot records search program.  I received it a few days ago..So far I haven't found any of my family there...maybe it is still on co-pilot  I know these are works in progress.  I am just grateful that so much has changed in the years I have been a member.  Everything used to be done "snail-mail"  Since I work in the FHC I welcome any suggestions for helping our branch members 1.  Get Jump Started. 2. help them enjoy the process so they do not quit out of frustration.
