Autism

I have a 12 year old brother who is autistic. Getting him to do simple stuff like try new foods, read a book, etc. are a HUGE fight. What's sad is that the family dog will eat more veggies than he will.

He also has this problem where he thinks that we know what he's thinking. Also, where he thinks that if he wants to do something, is's Ok.

If any of you have autisim, could you give me any ideas of what to do with him? I mean, I love him and all that, but he's driving me crazy.

Oooh. I understand that some. I HATE change. I've found that I have to get used to the idea that something will change before I can get used to the idea of change itself.

I also have a bad habit of discussing something with someone before i tell them what I'm talking about.

Oh. The foods thing. Does he eat mostly bread products. Breaded food, pasta, and also milk and milk products?

Not really, he's not allowed much wheat or dairy. But he eats rice (it must be white, and have no spices in it), potato and corn chips, and pop corn. He also likes rice crispies cereal.

Interesting. Rice crispies contains barley malt. Do you know about the Gluten Free/ Dairy Free diet?
