If anyone comes in, start off by posting your favorite bands or songs, both LDS and mainstream!

I'm a big fan of Greg Simpson, and I love the Halestorm movie soundtracks.

Well, I must admit that I’ve never really been into any LDS groups.  My music tastes in regards to the “mainstream” are pretty much all over the place.  From Johnny Cash to Flaming Lips to Budos Band.

I play Bari Sax for a little crap piece of a band.  You can also listen to one of our songs at www.myspace.com/thenoveltyact

"You don't have to be religious to have a soul; everybody has one. You don't have to be religious to perfect your soul; I have found saintliness in avowed atheists." -Rabbi Harold Kushner
"A good man, is a good man, whether in this church, or out of it." -Brigham Young
"It does not prove that a man is not a good man because he errs in doctrine" -Joseph Smith

DISCLAIMER: I have Jewish/Mystic/Hindu/Buddhist/Eastern leanings (mixed with a side order of occasional Agnosticism), and as such, not all that I say will line up with “official” LDS Doctrine.

Ive never really listened to any LDS groups/artists.. other than Kenneth Cope and Gladys Knight's Saints Unified Voices..  Im hoping this group can point me towards some "must hear" music..

And in terms of mainstream music.. Im like Doctor Steuss and am a bit all over the place.. lol.. I tend to lean more towards punk rock/alternative sounds though..

Instead of allowing yourself to be unhappy, just let your love grow, as God wants it to grow. Seek goodness in others. Love others unselfishly, without thought of return. The return, never fear, will take care of itself.

Well, my favorite LDS band just HAS to be EVERCLEAN - SONS OF PROVO. They totally rock! =P

I totally dig retro active - Punk/80's new wave (Rancid, sex pistols, Falco, The smiths, Depeche Mode, etc) . I love Spanish Ska and some Spanish rock (Ska P, Aterciopelados, Inspector, Mana, Molotov, Control Machete, etc). I dig rockabilly and psychobilly tunes too (April March, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Os Catalepticos, Legendary Shack Shakers). I dig some metal, not a HUGE fan but it can be appealing to me at times (Static X, System of the Down). Of course, I do dig the 90's (Alice in Chains, Offspring, L7) Seventies, yeah dig it. (The doors, queen, rolling stones, motorhead, jimmy hendrix) I love Rock in general!

So, that's what I like.
