Season 4 Episode 6 The Other Woman
Ok so this is Juliet centric. I always love her episodes. Hopefully it will be an on island flashback that will give us some more insight into the others. Oh well we shall see. Enjoy.

Ok anyone else think it was a little over the top that Ben actually sent Goodwin knowing he would get killed? Also how did Ben think he was gonna score with a hottie like Juliet? And that Dan and Charlotte actually were trying to stop Ben from using the gas, does that make them good guys now? I think after all is said and done we will look at Ben in a totally different light. I think we are starting to see that, with the revelation that Widmore is trying to find the island. I think Ben is trying to protect the island. Any comments? Please?

When it comes to girls, Ben is totally immature, which makes perfect sense if he's spent most of his life on the island and hasn't had many opportunities to date anyone. I think Ben's immaturity was strongly evidenced when he told Juliet "You're mine!" Also, regarding the thing with sending Goodwin off to his death, I've heard people compare that with King David sending Uriah to his death so he could hook up with Bathsheba. Not an exact parallel, but similar stories.

That's debatable. This whole show is filled with good vs. bad and really likes to get us to view the gray areas as one or the other, and to keep us guessing on which side everyone should be categorized. I certainly think Charles Widmore is a badguy, but then again Ben is pretty evil himself (remember how he murdered his own father and all the DHARMA people?).

Yeah, in The Economist (the recent Sayid episode) it was hinted that Ben ends up becoming a friend to the Oceanic Six by partnering with Assassin Sayid... or at least a friend to those who are still stuck on the island, if there are indeed still people there. ~Josh the JoshMeister's LOST Blog and Podcast http://thelostmeister.blogspot.com

Thank you Josh for your insights. Finally someone else to talk with. And anyone that can needs to listen to his podcast it is pretty good. I remember hearing Damon and Carlton talking very early on about how we are viewing things from a certain perspective and that if we saw things differently it may change how we feel about certain characters. That is what leads me to believe that ultimately Ben will be the protagonist of this series. Obviously still a flawed hero but no one is perfect.
