Season 4 Episode 7 Ji Yeon
Ok here we go. Last episode before 4 week hiatus.

Sun and Jin centric. And it is supposedly to have a surprise cliff hanger.
We'll have to see about that.

So... is Jin really dead?

After seeing Sun go to Jin's grave, I think most people assumed that Jin was dead. But not everyone is so sure about that. Jin's date of death on the tombstone is the day of the Flight 815 crash, so the conspirators are making people believe that Jin died in the crash. Therefore, I think we can rule out the possibility that Jin is in the coffin; according to Jack's story on the stand at Kate's trial, 6 people survived the crash, and we've now met all of the Oceanic Six as confirmed on ABC.com (Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Aaron, and Sun). I guess they could have brought back Jin's body if he died somewhere between the island and home, but that doesn't make a lot of sense.

On my live podcast last night, someone said that they thought they saw men's hygiene products at Sun's new home, plus Sun didn't want to remove her ring and she kept expecting Jin to show up in the doorway when giving birth, and someone said that Sun's words at the grave hinted that Jin might not be dead. She didn't actually say Jin is dead, as far as I can remember. I'll have to watch the episode again to confirm the details about the hygiene products and whether Sun actually said that Jin is dead. Now, most if not all of that could simply be a part of Sun's mourning process as she loved her husband and would have a hard time letting go. But what if he's not dead? Where is he? The island, presumably.

So that leaves the question: Were Jin's scenes in China a flashback or a different flashforward? I thought at first they were part of the flashforward and he just was on business for Mr. Paik like Sayid was on business for Ben. But now I think that it was a flashback because I remember that he was really angry at losing his taxi, not much like the Jin of present day.

And of course we all knew it would be Michael on the boat. I can't wait to hear his story.

Oh and did anyone catch the brief flash of the episode of Expose that Nikki was in on the TV right before Sun turned it off? Nice touch.

Lots to think about for the next 4 weeks.

I think a lot of people missed the line from Jin at the end of his final flashback of the episode. The subtitle said "Don't rush me. I've only been married two months." This was the dead giveaway that it was a flashback.

Just to clarify, the break doesn't start until *after* next week's episode. ABC has issued a press release for episode 8, which will air on March 20th from 9:00-10:02.
