Achieve Vitality Potential and Ideal Body Weight

Today 93% of the average caloric intake for our nation comes from a combination of animal-based foods, refined and processed foods and oils, and sugar. In terms of the nutrient density, these foods represent the bottom four of twelve food groups, possessing the fewest nutrients per calories consumed. The top eight food groups, including whole fruits, leafy green vegetables, solid green vegetables, non-green non-starchy vegetables, legumes, starchy vegetables, grains, and nuts & seeds make up only 7% of today's caloric intake. Both the longest-living and the most disease-free populations eat just the opposite, with 75% or more of their calories coming from the top eight food groups and less than 10% from animal-based foods. The mission of this group is to support dietary lifestyle changes that have clinically demonstrated their ability to arrest and reverse diet-induced diseases. According to Brigham Young University, LDS today are the most obese of all religious populations, a statistic linked with rises in diet-induced diseases. Members of this group will be able to subscribe freely to Daniel's Challenge in order to receive free meal plans and other related support.
