Did you reunite or call it quits? Tell your story.
So many girls write their missionaries for two years, maybe half the time, hardly at all---and all of us share something in common--an undeniable void of where that important man used to be! People make us feel guilty for being a 'distraction' versus a motivation.
When we turn 19, all of a sudden we have guys 3 years older than us trying to marry us when we barely just got out of highschool.
How much of that food money are you spending on his packages whether they be across the nation or in another country opposite the world? Let alone a 3rd world country??
Some of our families may think we're hopeless romantics, incapable of such a strong love in our teenage years....only to discover we are still single and ready to marry that man when he's finally home.
I've been there--and I'm with my missionary again. At a full grown 21, we still fit perfectly fine. I dated other guys while he was gone, but knew he could not be replaced. Can someone take us seriously? Are you willing to wait it out or at least be single for when he's home?
Are we growing as much as they are while they are gone???
What about those "Dear Janes" and "Dear Johns". Our mormon culture presents this strange microcosm. Us. Here's our story.
