married: 2 kids 20year olds, one now on mission to lima peru north mission. I have been in the scouting program, and have worked in the baptistry in the Las Vegas Temple for 7 years. I now serve in the Church's Addiction Recovery Program, with my wife, we have been doing that for the last 4 years.

Harveyf  I live in Virginia outside Washington DC and my stake just started this program about 6 months ago and most of us don't really no much about it. How do you go about serving in this program. Did you get called? and who runs the program the stake? family Services?  I don't know if you'll understand this term by I'm a freind of Bill W   Thanks

That is sad...my daughter was talking to a youngman who is from Ireland and he had never heard of the church...she was amazed...I explained to her that we may have many missions all over the world, but there is still so much work to be done...I told my daughter, I was 20-years old, in college, in the US and had never heard the word Mormon much less "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints," so why would we expect people all over the world to know about the church if no one has told them about it?...I explained to her that this is why we need to be missionaries...thank you for serving by the way...who knows how many lives you have touched by your service in the mission field and out...

Thank you so much for the nice compliment...You are not the first person to tell me to stay at a B&B, so I guess I should plan to do that...I also want to go to Scotland...Do you still have contact with any of the members you served while in Ireland?...
