The church has been my rock throughout my life and I am so blessed to have it in my life. Since the birth of my son I have truly learnt just how much our Father above loves us and wants for us to have joy in this life and in the next. I have a strong testimony of who we are, where we are from and what our opportunity is in this life.

I grew up in Australia, so does Australian count as a language? LOL

Anything non fiction. I have a real joy in reading history through letters so I love to find books that are collections of letters. They place you into the lives of people experiencing not just wonderful historic moments but also seeing how those moments impacted on real life issues such as survival, families and especially realtionships.

Eclectic at best. Pop, classic, Top 40, country. I can usually find something to listen to all the time.

Dramas, historical and on my lighter side lots of comedies. Heavenly Father gave us a sense of humour for a reason.

With a 6 year old son life has to be split into two categories.

Hobbies with my son
1. Boys Day out. Every week we set aside time to do something together that is just between me and him. Could be walking to the store, could be exploring a castle.
2. Collecting toy cars from the Cars movie.
3. Singing together in the car although I have to admit its not been the same since he told me my singing wasnt very good.

Hobbies for me
1. Reading
2. To be honest by the time I have finsihed with him each day and read a little bit, the end of the day is here.

I am at this point in my life just a dad. And it is the greatest calling I have ever had in my life. As a single parent there are many struggles but the joy is always there as I watch my son grow and develop who he is. I have the priveledge of being his dad and his best friend. That was a proud moment when he told me that I was his best friend. I'll have to remind him of that when he hits his teenage years! LOL.

Hello,

Thank you so much for your kind comments. You'll see in the next part of my blog why they have actually helped me in ways that you probably never thought of as you wrote them! Isn't it wonderful how the Spirit works sometimes through perfect strangers?

Take care for now
