An oldie but one that brings back great memories with my husband, Still Breathing. Also thriller type, mess with your mind movies!!!

Currently I am enjoying tennis and being outside. I am looking at finding my mojo again so I can get back to the gym.

I have been happily married for the past 9 years. I have 3 wonderful children ages 12, 8 & 8. I have been a member of the church for a little over 2 years. I am looking to find friends in the LDS church. There are so many websites that totally bash the LDS church I am in need of a website that I can turn to.

Hello!  I am Britalena, a sister in surrogacy with you.  Our due date is Jan. 31, and we have been matched with a wonderful woman, who has a wonderful supportive family.  I am getting ready to tell my family and friends and ward members, and I wish I could avoid the comments, looks, and digs that are sure to come.  It is a very misunderstood issue, and people have strong feelings against it.  BUT I know for us it has been a 'blissful' option.  Our surrogate is more than I could of ever hoped for.

I am interested in finding out about the 'birth story' how did you feel? What can I do to help my surrogate feel loved, appreciated, and needed?

I loved your comment on "never heard of a free adoption", that was awesome. We are now 9 weeks along, and the due date is the end of January.  My surrogate lives 5 hours away, and she is everything I could of ever hoped and prayed for.  This is her second journey.  I respect her so much for making this choice, serving our family, giving life and a healthy place for our baby to grow.  I love keeping this secret to myself right now, becasue it brings so much JOY to me everyday.  I pray for her everyday!  She is my angel.  Could you tell me a little about your birth story with surrogacy?

I'm new to all internet stuff! I've been a memeber all my life.  I am a new "Intended Mother", and I'm so excited, I can hardly sleep at night thinking about holding my baby girl in my arms.  I'm so happy to hear from you, a surrogate!  I want to talk with some one so bad, becasue I am having such a positive, sweet, fantastic experience........no one understands, and I get 'the look' from even my best friends. Do you have any ideas on how to tell family, extended family, and ward members?

I was born and raised in the LDS church, but I never had a strong testimony when I was growing up. As I got older, I started questioning the validity of the Joseph Smith story, and later I started questioning the very existence of God. It was a very interesting journey, to say the least. I don't feel any sort of emptiness partly because I never felt God's presence when I was a member. So there's really nothing to contrast. The world makes more sense to me without having God as part of my worldview.

That's just me though. I know and respect the fact that God and Jesus Christ play a large role in the lives of many people. Welcome to the site and thanks for your questions!

Welcome! We used to live in Cary, NC - Raleigh Stake! My youngest son
was born in Raleigh; he's now on a mission in Georgia (he didn't want
to go to the Bible Belt, but he's working with hispanics who aren't
quite so anti-Mormon )
My in-laws still work in the temple there every week. I loved hearing
your conversion story; you've had quite a spiritual adventure. We also
lived in Greensboro (my husband's hometown) and little Asheboro (best
wild animal park in the world!). We lived right across the street from
the tiny Asheboro chapel and I taught seminary. Some of the students
came 17 miles to attend at 6:00 am. Ahhh, the memories.
