I have been married for 10 years to my wonderful husband! He is my strength and my source of support in this hectic world we live in. We have struggled with not being able to have children and I can truly say that through this trial we have became closer and our relationship strengthened. By no means has it been easy, as it has affected me to the very core and in so many aspects of my life. It affects who and what you percieved to be and what you always wanted to be. After all what little girl doesn't dream of being a mommy. At one point in time I thought that my testimony was rock solid and built upon a firm foundation. It didn’t take long for that foundation to crumble. As I am working to strengthen that testimony I have learned……”that you can’t have a testimony without the test.” Infertility is my "test". Yet I am struggling so it doesn't define who and what I am.

We have been blessed to live near the mountains and enjoy everything they have to offer. Fly fishing, camping, hunting, hiking, canoeing, and even snowshoeing are just a few of the things we enjoy. We have two horses that we enjoy, but never seem to get enough time to spend with them.I love to cook and take that joy with me to the outdoors and do Dutch oven cooking.

I have been an EMT for over 10 years as a volunteer. Recently I have gone full-time for an agency. I can honestly say I enjoy what I do.

Hey, thanks for visiting my profile Lester! I see you are an EMT which I think is pretty cool, I did all the study to become an EMT-B in highschool and was wanting to become a Paramedic but they don't hire you out here until you are 21.

PRR.....

I did get to go on that run...thanks for asking. It was up a canyon with a stream so the scenery was great. I am truly blessed to live in a beautiful place.

Hope you have a great day!!!

L

Dear L,

I know what you mean by the beauty of the canyons.  When I lived out west, it was a favorite thing of mine to ride my bike into the canyons.  It was a hard, long trip up, but the ride down was a blast! LOL  There are no words to describe the exhilaration of a moment like that.  I must admit that I'm not one to favor wearing a helmet all the time just to take a simple cruise around the neighborhood, but in that situation (traveling down the mountainside), if you didn't have the proper safety gear on, an accident would probably "wipe you out".

It's been hard for me to decide which I like best.  I love to go canoeing and sailing, but I also miss my rides up into the canyons.  I guess I'm just going to have to find myself a place where I can live by a huge lake in the mountains.  Either that or move to someplace like Hawaii where the mountains are all surrounded by the ocean!

     Have a great day!

Dear L,

How are you today?  Did you ever get out for your run the other night?

We've added a tasty recipe to our blogs.  Being summer, we know how it's so easy to end up with an overabundance of produce from the garden so we shared a recipe for Creamy Vegetable Soup.

WmLee told us that he and some others gathered over 900 lbs of fresh vegetables from their community garden and took it all to the local food bank.  Wasn't that great!  The goodness of some people truly amazes us.

     Have a wonderful day!

Dear Les,

We saw that you visited our page.  We hope you enjoyed it!  Please feel free to come back anytime!

Love the fishing picture.  Nice catch!

It's been a fairly quiet day.  A little weeding and watering of things around the garden, a little grocery shopping, a little walking the dog, etc.  But it's evening now.  The sun is slipping down through the trees towards the horizon.

My niece is visiting us for the weekend.  She's a good girl, though she seems to want to spend too much time in front of the TV.  Max and Bear (the dogs) have been good for her.  They've pestered her to get up and play.  They seem capable of getting away with annoying her into it, so I let them.

Have a very good evening.  Hope to "see" you again soon.
