I believe that real, absolute truth is universal and easily identifiable. I believe that God has had enlightened many people over the millenia and has had a great many prophets starting with Adam to the present Prophet of His CHurch. I believe in the LDS faith for two reasons, first is logical and the second is purely spiritual based on faith.
Logically, the LDS faith (in my view) is the single most concentrated church of universal truths within the Judeo christian tradition. The LDS faith has many more questions answered conceringing the nature of man and his deity than any other faith I have come accross. To me, the LDS faith just makes sense. Even the Book of Mormon makes more sense to me from an Arabic or Hebrew perspective than the new testament of the Bible. The grammer of the texts itself is not even english as much as it is Arabic.
But on top of the logical perspective, there is the spiritual one I have as well. As a troubled youth I rediscovered the Book of Mormon (I was originally raised LDS, but my family fell away before I was twelve). At the time, I constantly prayed for guidance and asked God for a partner who would help me stick to the straight and narrow. After several false starts on my own and having lived with friends and family, I moved back to Utah live with my father who was a stuanch believer in the church (although he was inactive). After I had moved in with him and started going to highschool again, I made a friend in my chemistry class and he invited me to go to church with him and his family. After the first couple of Sundays, he invited me to dinner with him and his family. Thats where I met his neice (she was nine months older than him/ten months older than me, I know, only in Utah) and two years later we were sealed in the San Diego Temple.
This is one of the many prayers my heavenly father has answered for me, I have had many Atheist friends since who say these experiences are just coincidence, but I truly believe my Heavenly Father loves me and answeres my prayers. I can honestly say that the LORD has never left one prayer of mine unanswered so long as I have been faithfull to Him. This is my testamony of His love for us, and i would end in the name Jesus Christ, Amen.
