Written statements of faith:

SUBJECT: Robert Marda's Testimony
LOCATION: Woodbridge, Virginia, USA, United States
Jesus Christ lived, died, and has been resurrected. He suffered and paid the price for everyone's sins, even mine, in Gethsemane and on the cross. So great was his anguish that he bled from every pore and endured pain in a way I don't understand and he did it because he loves us. He is my saviour, whom I gladly follow as best I can.

He lives today and leads his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, through the prophet Thomas S Monson. It is the only true church upon the earth and was restored through his prophet Joseph Smith.

I know the Book of Mormon is true and was translated by Joseph Smith. My faith and testimony have grown through reading, studying, and living its words.

I know that Heavenly Father hears our prayers and answers them in ways that are best for us. Often the ways He uses are simple and ordinary to us, sometimes they are very direct, and even miraculous. Many times I've felt frustration over prayers that seem to go unanswered. I believe, though, that in these cases, I've simply missed the answer or not understood it.

I know that living the gospel brings me closer to God, increases my faith, and my testimony. I've learned to identify the presence of the Holy Ghost and know when he is confirming truth's to me.

The words I've written here I know to be true because He has confirmed their truthfulness to me and I share them with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
