Written statements of faith:

POSTED BY: silverbeatle

SUBJECT: Testimony and such...
LOCATION: Kohler, WI, United States
My testimony... It's been battered around and tested and wrung out and almost lost, and all that, but I come out now with a fairly basic testimony/faith... While I enjoy just believing what I believe whether people like it or not.

I know Joseph Smith was a prophet, I just do. And you can't take my Joseph Smith from me, you just can't. I value him above all the other prophets, because... I feel I can trust Smith. It's hard for me to trust old people. haha. Just how I am... But right now I really do believe those old people are prophets, I just... Yeah, I won't get into it.

There's a few things that attract me to this church:

1. They're almost always capable of answering the question "WHY?" (That's one of my favorite things to do. ^_^ Ask why.)

2. The teaching of personal revelation.

3. The teaching of the divine nature/potential of man.

4. The core of it actually makes some sense.

5. God is here right now. He's not some old apathetic guy in the sky who just laughs, and is like "Psh, puny humans.".... He's a Father who is putting us through our journey of progression. Which I think is rather nice.

And there's more reasons, but I'm tired and don't feel like listing everything...

I believe we have a lot of truth. And I also believe we have a lot to learn. It's simple of that. And I keep asking questions not from a lack of faith, but from a deep urge to know all that truth has to offer, and I won't stop asking questions until all my questions have answers. And if that's not until I'm "dead", so be it.

But with all those qestion, there's one answer I'm glad to have. I know that Joseph Smith was prophet, and that we are the church appointed with the responsibility to bring Christ's Kingdom to the Earth.

And we're all people, and we all make mistakes, but I know that we all have the capacity to become what we're destined to...
