I would like you to know that I believe in Christ. I know that he lives. I know that he atoned for all of us, and his suffering made the glorious gift of repentance possible.
Throughout my life, i've had some struggles, not major ones, but minor ones, that sometimes caused me feel completely lost. I prayed and it brought me so much strength. The Holy Ghost has helped me multiple times in things i thought were impossible. I tell myself I cannot complete or start certain tasks, but it is made possible through the Lord, for anything is possible through him, and the task is completed. How great that thought is.
I feel so grateful that i am able to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I believe it is the true church. The teachings of the church bring so much peace to my life. Peace that would be nonexistant otherwise. It really hurts me to see some of my friends going through so many trials, such as loved ones passing away. I believe Heavenly Father made a plan for us, called the Plan of Salvation. I believe that life does not end here. He made a plan that allows our families to be together forever for time and all eternity. In fact, one of the hymns from our church describes it quite beautifully:
I have a family here on Earth
They are so good to me
I want to share my life with them
Through all eternity
Families can be together forever
through Heavenly Father's plan
I always want to be with my own family
and the Lord has shown my how I can
The Lord has shown me how i can.
I know that we have a living prophet here on the Earth. His name is Gordon B. Hinckley. I saw him, and it was the greatest experience my life. The moment I saw him walk into the room, streams of tears fled down my cheeks, which has never happened before when expressing joy. If it is this great when i see the prophet, I wonder what it'll be like when i see Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father.
I believe in the Book of Mormon, that is another testament of Jesus Christ, along with the Bible. I read it completely, and then i prayed, asking Heavenly Father if he could give me an assurance that it was true. I remember that day. I was in my sister's bedroom, kneeling by her mirror, I prayed, and then I had the warmest feeling inside. Tell me this..how could such a warm feeling occur out of nowhere right in my heart area? And how come whenever i read the Book of Mormon, the feelings occur everytime?
I also know that angels exist. So many miracles have happened within my family. Amazing things have happened, that cannot be explained in any other way, unless there was some help from angels. Some family members would not be alive right now, if there wasn't some help from above.
Anyway, there is much more i could say, but it's getting late, and i really should go to bed now.
