The need for a Prophet |

I have been a member of the church for 16 years and was 18 when I joined the church. The thing that was most interesting to me was that we have a Prophet on the earth. That Heavenly Father hasn't stopped communicating with His children because He truly is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I was raised by Agnostic parents so I had no religious upbringing whatsoever. The feelings that I had when the Sister Missionaries taught me about the church from the start and that it was truly Christ' church were so strong. Those feelings continue today. I am grateful every single day of my life for my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I know that Gordon B. Hinckley was a Prophet of God and I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet today. I've never met a Prophet in person and I don't need to. When I hear or read their words, I get the same feelings, I know they are true.
