SUBJECT: My Anchor
LOCATION: Po-Dunk, United States
The Gospel Of Jesus Christ is my anchor. Having the Gospel to steer by, keeps me from drifting too far off the path that I know will lead me back to Him. The Gospel is my daily touchstone as to the choices I make; how I conduct myself. If something is questionable, I ask myself, how would Heavenly Father view it? When I do not heed the Spirit...when I make the wrong/bad decision, I know it; I feel it! Then my goal becomes not to make that same mistake again.
During my years of inactivity...even with family and friends; with a career I loved, there were times that I felt a sense of drifting; of having no sense of a final destination. My first Sunday back, sitting quietly in the Chapel, I KNEW I was home. Such a feeling of peace, of "rightness" came over me. I had no second thoughts...no doubts...no going back.
I am so thankful for my parents, who gave me that foundation of the Gospel; a port to return to.
I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
