Friendship. How often do we look to our friends in our time of need? I have had the opportunity to know some amazing people and to be able to be their friend.
"A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take an sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away".
Isn't that true of good friends? I love the fact that when I am feeling fat, or lonely, or discouraged, I can call certain individuals who lift me up and tell me what I am feeling isn't really real. How can one live without their friends? I was talking to my best friend last night, and sharing with him how I can't truly be myself without being around my friends. Even when we have one other person who is with us, we can let loose and have a great time. How wonderful to also to be married to that friend, who symbolizes the quote. I always used to be so self-conscious, and it is good to take care of yourself and look good, but to find someone who sees who you really are.....now, that is truly a friend!
