SUBJECT: Indulgence
LOCATION: Burley,
What is it that caused indulgence? Is it because someone is out of our lives, never to return? Is it the longing for what we think can never be? Has someone hurt us so deeply that it is the only way to temporarily solve our needs? I heard a quote the other day in a fabulous magazine. It read, "When our needs are taken care of, they no longer become needs." I loved that.
I have eaten my whole life to compensate for the lack of love in my life, and it hasn't gotten me what I wanted. It just solved the ache in my tummy temporarily. I always would say, "I am not doing that again!", only to find myself in the same situation time and time again. I found what works for me. To be happy. Yes, that is the key! To be happy with who and what we are is the key to my indulgence. When I actually love myself enough to take myself out, treat myself right and only want the best for myself, I know that I have solved my need. Just recently I found someone who also has brought love and happiness into my life that I couldn't have brought myself. It is an important time in our lives, and with each other, we need no other indulgence! When true love is found, it is its own indulgence. Amen!!
