Written statements of faith:

SUBJECT: being an example of truth
LOCATION: Utah County, United States
The other night I got back from visiting my family. I got in late from my flight and had to spend the night at a friends place. I was about to fall asleep when all of a sudden, my friends roommate came in the room and started to say, I dont konw if the church is true, if i really have a testimony.. and some other things.I frist asked her, what is going on. (I do know her) she said that is is having a hard times with choices and doesnt understand Gods Plan for her. We talked about the church, basic principles of the Gospel. Talked about the Atonement. I was able to bear my witness of the Gospel and how it has helped me in my life in so many ways. We talked about prayer and then talked about studing her scriptures more, and when we study them we recieve answers and it make us feel better when we read them. We talked about ways to study them, for example, you can pick out your favorite scripture and focus on it for the week and so on..

It was a very up lifting conversation.. She said, that is already was feeling better. I believe if we are doing what we as members of the church should be doing, living the gospel and following it, we are able to help those in need right away and at any moment too. I learned a lesson here, is that you can be a strong member or seem like one, but we sometimes forget that we need to strength our testimony or our faith more.. we need to rely on our Savior and pray always.
