Written statements of faith:

POSTED BY: lightupthedarkness
DATE: 28.09.2008
SUBJECT: The Whole of the Gospel
LOCATION: Massachusetts,
While speaking with Heavenly Father in prayer Jesus said, "...this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3)

At another time Jesus responsed to a lawyer who asked, "Master, which is the great commandment...? Jesus said..., Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great acommandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."(Matt. 22:36-40) And also, "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."(John 4:8)

Right now we are living in the Second Estate of our "life eternal". We can get so caught up in so many things. We can even be distracted by many good things. These are the only things that matter: Getting to know our Father and Savior a little more each day and growing in our love for Them, and not only will we then grow in love for our neighbors, but if we truly love Them, all good things and all the commandments we keep will fall into place, that we may know what the Savior meant when He said, "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matt. 11:30)

In Jesus' response to Martha He said, "...Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part..." (Luke 10:41-42)

I testify that if you are weighed down by keeping the commandments or by sin, you do not know the Savior, nor are you doing things in the right order. You do not understand what your unified relationship with Him could be like and what He is really promising. You can know though...

If right order prevails and you endeavor to prayerfully come to know Them and love them, you will start feeling the freedom of the Gospel, the beautiful, incomprehensible and literal Eternal Riches we are promised and that there is no freedom like is found in doing what the Lord has counseled.

I know from sincere, real and personal experience that you and I are a child of Heavenly Father, whom we were close to and loved before we came to earth. I know that the Fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all it's glory has been restored. Joseph Smith is my brother and your brother and he sealed his testimony in his own blood to give us all the God revealed anew to him, that we may walk in the paths that lead to Eternal Life back to our personal Heaven which we long for. I know that the Bible & Book of Mormon is the word of God which are two of the greatest guides in our daily path.

I know each of us have a specific and unique purpose to accomplish while we are here, and that we are to live our dreams with our Savior as our guide. He has provided the way and it is all laid out before us in the doctrine of "the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth..."(D&C 1:30), The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
