When I first started investigating the curch I was also attending classes to be a CNA. I'd just gotten out of class and picked up my son. As I began to drive down Carefree Circle. wich is a twisty, hilly road, it began to storm heavily, rain and then hail. There was alot of traffic around me . I remember a silver SUV to the right of me .I looked in my rearview to see my son, and he'd fallen fast asleep. So I continued driving and singing along to a country song that I don't really like. 'God must be busy" its about bad things that happen and how God must be too busy to stop them. How stupid I thought! Are you serious? First off he wont interfere with our free agency, second when it's your time it's most likely no mistake no matter how horrible it is, or he'd send you back, I dont beleive we go until our mission here is complete! Then ..darkness, I didn't see a thing, No thought , nothing. Then I heard a voice that shook my soul. NO! It echoed,Then two bright red lights flashed in front of me!Brake lights! A car was turning and was stopped, I was mere feet away going 40mph ! I honked the horn, hit the brakes and swirved to the right. I squeezed my eyes closed sure I was going to hit that silver SUV that had been on my side. But when I opened my eyes there were no cars on the road except the one that I almost rearended and mine. I looked back to make sure my son was ok..sleeping still. I took a deep breath and began to cry. The same song was still playing, I was 4 streets down from where I'd blacked out.Not only that but the road had turned to the right! There was no other explination, I'd blacked out. and somehow had continued driving on that twisty road, through the hail and rain. I felt a stirring in my heart like I'd gotten an electrical shock. He saved me I thought! The lord saved me! And then the next song next on the radio. " Jesus take the wheel" for those of you who've never heard it, its about a mother driving and she almost gats in a wreck with her sleeping baby in the back. She pulls over and prays ~Jesus take the wheel, take me from this road I'm on, cuz I cant do this on my own.~ I never felt so close to the lord, Like he was in the passenger seat of my car. Soon after I arrived at my sisters house to pick up my daughter. As soon as I pulled in to the parking spot I reached for my phone to call Elder Jacobson to tell him what had happened. I looked at the screen, he was calling me. " Hi, just calling to make sure you are ok, he said Is there anything we can do for you?' My heart leaped and as I told him the story I began to cry. Heavenly father saved me, he saved me, Jacobson. I cried. He was speechless. He'd gotten a feeling that he needed to call. Later that evening I went to the doctor. I'd had a stroke. I didnt even know but I had an absess that had caused a big infection in my blood stream, my blood was pumping faster than usual because of it and a clot had made its way up to my brain.
Brothers and Sisters , no matter what faith you are , I must tell you that what I say is true. God lives and he is by our side, he has a plan for each of us and he knows us all personally. I know this church is true. The night before this incident I prayed for God to give me an undeniable sign of his presence. To strengthen my faith. He did. I say this in the name of our beloved savior, Jesus Christ, Amen
