Written statements of faith:

SUBJECT: Statement of Faith
LOCATION: Peshastin Wa.,
It took ten years to come to this faith, it was in little steps, like bolder jumping in a river, I had been doing mindfulness of breathing mediation for many years daily. The discipline was good. Then that fix just turned into a soft straw. My daughter during this time had become a member. I attended the church parties but never allowing myself to follow the path. I did have several lessons from the Elder missionaries a few years after my daughter joined. I just was not ready. Five years ago my grandchild was born in Fresno Ca. I visited and was bless. The baby slept a lot as babies do. My daughter had several books ( The Power and Glory ) which I started reading. This was the story of Joesph Smith our first Prophet. In 2007 again my daughter invited me up at her house for dinner with the Sister missionaries, lessons started that week at my home. On the third lesson I received a Devine revelation about the first vision of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit spoke through the missionary to me. It was nothing I have ever experience before in my life. I ask the missionary to repeat just what she had said and I got the same shimmerings that I got before. Totally unexpected,my thought was that the Holy Ghost spoke to me, it was like having a rubber hammer hit on my head. As the missionaries were leaving I ask once more to say the passage regarding the First Vision, and again I got those special shimmerings. I went and kneel beside my bed and ask my Heavenly Father if this was right for me. The answer I received was yes. I love doing member missionary work. I was blessed to be able to do a baptism last year for a new convert. I love the Book of Mormon, I love our General Authority, I love our Prophet. I know that this is the true church of our Heavenly Father
