Written Testimonies:

POSTED BY: tomk

SUBJECT: My Jesus
LOCATION: Utah, United States
I think my testimony is constantly being refined as I draw closer to Christ.

This may sound a bit untraditional, but I think that, while it is important to have a testimony or conviction that the Church is true, the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that the Priesthood has been restored, that temple work is important -- none of these things are as important as seeking to have a personal relationship with Christ.

It is possible to grow up in the Church and never come to know Him. I know it is possible because I was like this for over 30 years! It has only been the last 3 years or so that I have actually sought to come to know Him. To lay bare my soul before Him. To come to Him dressed in "rags" and beg for His mercy and forgiveness. Only then was I able to find His love. Only then did I find myself freed from addictions that I had not been able to free myself from. Looking back to the number of years I spent enslaved vs how long it took Him to free me from that addiction -- it is nothing short of a modern-day miracle. He can and He will perform that same miracle in your life if you will come to Him in total honesty and with no pretense. I love Him. He is my everything. He is my Jesus!

Love,

Tom
