SUBJECT: For God so loved the world....
LOCATION: Arizona, United States
I am in awe of the love that our Father in Heaven has for us.  I could not imagine giving up my only begotten child to suffer and die for a people who treat me so poorly.  The capacity of His love for us is amazing!  It brings me to tears just to think about it, and makes me wonder what I am doing to be deserving of such a display of love.  These thoughts motivate me to serve Him better, to be a more worthy Daughter of God and to not take Christ's sacrifice lightly or for granted.  Even knowing that the pain and anguish of such a sacrifice would be only temporary, I still don't know if I could subject my child to that, and especially not for a people who were so ill-deserving.  Yet our Father in Heaven loves us so much, even after all we have done against Him, that he was willing to allow his only begotten Son to suffer and die for us.  And that Son was willing as well!  I cannot get over the powerful feeling this knowledge invokes in me, and the desire it gives me to follow Christ better.
