Only have a really firm grasp on English. I can count to ten and say the word "green" in Japanese. I also speak a little bit of broken Spanish, which mostly consists of me wildly gesturing to whomever I am speaking to trying to make them understand what I am saying. Although, when I used to be a teacher, I did learn how to tell my students in Spanish to be quiet, sit down, turn around, shut the door, give me that, and the coup de grace was when I got Roberto Sandoval in trouble with his mother because I told her "Roberto usan muchos palabras malas en mi clase." Yeah, that was awesome.

I love to read a lot. Usually, I avoid reading my assigned law school text books in favor of reading things that will, in no way, help me on my final exams. I do not read one book at a time but prefer to read bits and pieces of books. Believe it or not, in addition to my law books and the newspaper, I am currently reading the following books simultaneously.

I love, love, love piano rock. Think Billy Joel, Ben Folds, Jamie Cullum, yada. I am not really a fan of country, death metal or hip hop/rap. Other than that anything goes... well, except for that weird new age music that they play in doctors' offices and massage parlors. I don't like that either.

Oh man, there are so many! Obviously, I am a fan of comedy. But I love drama, action, musicals, non-fiction, documentaries, etc. One of my favorite movies is The Majestic (with Jim Carrey). A lot of critics panned it because Jim plays a dramatic role (instead of the usual crazy rubber-face man that he is famous for). But it is a beautiful love story and Martin Landau is fantastic in it. I have seen it a hundred times and I still cry when I watch it (happy tears). I also like The Princess Bride (who doesn't?).

Right now, I really don't have time for actual productive hobbies. My free time is limited to Tuesday and Thursday evenings when I have no work and no school. So... I watch tv. But really, those are the best tv watching nights so it all works out. I love to sing, play piano, write, read, knit, etc.

I'm just a girl (ok, a woman... but I forget sometimes that I am supposed to be a grown up.) I just try to live my life from day to day like everyone else but sometimes my life is just a little more colorful than others. Hey, don't hate, appreciate.... the awesome stories I have! :) Oh, and I am 27, single mother, law student, wannabe comedienne/author/actor/singer.
