When we recall the past, we usually find that it is the simplest things - not the great occasions - that in retrospect give off the greatest glow of happiness. Bob Hope If you haven't any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble. Bob Hope

I recently read a book called "Faith Among Shadows" by Malcolm Leal. Excellent book that I highly recommend to everyone.

I pretty much like anything written by Sidney Sheldon and Robin Cook.

I LOVE music and love to sing. I currently belong to a musical group called The Sterling Singers. A sample of our work is on my playlist.

Give me the oldie groups. Styx, Journey, REO Speedwagon, Queen, Kansas. I'm sure I'll think of more. I'm also into the Wolfe Tones which is a group from Ireland. Also Aretha Franklin is the woman!!! I love her. Also enjoy Josh Groban and Rascal Flatts.

My favorite movie of all is "Remember the Titans." I also enjoyed Schindlers List and Rwanda. I enjoy movies that are based on actual happenings. Last one I saw was "We are Marshall. Another favorite would be Steel Magnolias. I now have to add The Blind Side as one of my all time favorites.

Since I work 60-70 hours a week it seems I have very little time for hobbies anymore. I enjoy scrapbooking and counted cross stitch. I love reading and music. I love long road trips. Never get tired of the drive. Just wish I could do them more often. I have started collecting early 80's memorabilia for the San Diego Chargers and San Diego Padres. Gotta keep me off of Ebay on that hobby.

Let the new football season begin. GOOOOOOO CHARGERS!!!!!!!!!

I'm a single mother of 3 teenagers. Yikes!!! I live in Utah but those that know me know I will always consider San Diego to be my home. Avid Chargers fan!!! I've been associated with lds.net for 10 years. My favorite vacation spot is (drum roll) you guessed it...San Diego!!!

I've had the opportunity to live in 7 states including Alaska and Hawaii. Lived the Navy life until I moved to Utah 14 years ago. In fact I worked for the Navy for 18 years (as a civilian). I even had the most wonderful of opportunies to fly out to a Navy carrier while they were at sea. So I've done the arrested landing and the catapult launch off the ship. Talk about a rush!!!!

We had to put my mother-n-law in the Nursing Home this week. She has already fallen after only 3 days. I had to do it though. I am just so tired Pam. She had fallen 2 times in one week here at the house. She would not use her walker or wheelchair. She said she did not need it. Alzheimer is the pits. My hubby's one hang up was that he did not want to put his mother in to die. He wanted her to die at home. One of the nurses had the right words. She told him that he needed to look at it in another way. She told him that his mother had come here to live the rest of her life, and not to die here. I think that really did help him. My girls also went to bat and told him that I was at my ropes end. I was more then I ever thought.

I know exactly where Vista is. I grew up in San Diego. Mainly just south of Chula Vista in the Otay Mesa area. My last year in San Diego I lived in Mira Mesa.

Awesome. I played in a High School basketball tournament my senior year at Chula Vista. This was back in 1995 though.

My older brother currently lives in San Marcos, east of Vista, and we go back and visit.

Are you originally from San Diego?

Yes, well, I am from Vista, California, just 40 minutes south of San Diego. People are more familiar with San Diego, so I will usually say San Diego.
