Question Of The Day
Posted On 01/08/2008 23:13:41 by worlds_best_mom
Here's the question of the day: Have you ever been pinned to a snow bank with a dog's nose pinned to your behind where you can FEEL it growl, and every time the police dispatch asks a question such as, "Are you still alive?" it barks and growls even harder and nudges you even deeper into the snow which of course irritates it so it grows more threatening? ... World's Worst Cake (& Death?)
Posted On 01/08/2008 23:13:41 by worlds_best_mom
Okay, I can cook. I really can! But I think I just baked the world's worst cake, and it's still chillin' on the snow patch out front—I haven't even sampled it yet. But I have a really bad feelin' about it. Okay, I admit I think I made the world's worst cake last Sunday. It was awful. Bad texture, with even worse flavor. Daughters-in-law

The other morning my husband baked Cake Bread for breakfast. It's a coffee cake with gooey topping that sinks through the sweet batter as it cooks. Yummy! My son grumbled that we should have had it for breakfast on Christmas morning, which was usually our tradition. Why didn't we?

Ahhh…. I have a new daughter-in-law. That's why! My son and new bride spent their first Christmas together with us. We all discussed Christmas morning breakfast, debating which of our two tra... Read More

Good News...

Good News! I'm alive! Just as I began my last lap around the Rec. Center track Chariots of Fire began. Being highly unsuperstitious, I quickly skipped it. I had to--I was being followed by a sleek, speedy woman pushing a fully loaded double stroller! No way was I going to jinx myself and get run over by THAT! (Oh, and putting on some speed helped too!) Yippee! I will yet live many more wonderful years! ... Read More

Superstitious? Not Me!
Posted On 01/08/2008 23:13:41 by worlds_best_mom
I'm not superstitious. Not me! I just added Chariots of Fire to my iPod shuffle. I'm going running! Therefore, I've devised a new senario to my ultimate demise:

I'll be running up one of my favorite roads in my home village listening to my iPod. I'll be at about 2 1/2 miles out--a great point in my run--listening to Fast Cars and Freedom (my favorite line: You don't look a day over fast cars and freedom). It ends, and on will come the theme song... Read More
