Since the days of my mission I have been fascinated by some of the little details of the Book of Mormon. One such detail is a tiny little scripture written by Nephi and what its significance must have meant:

"And my father dwelt in a tent."

The fact that he "dwelt in a tent" was mentioned three more times. Anyone ever notice this?

Learning and Being Tested Part 3

Our Father in heaven -- since he is our Father -- is guiding the development of his children.  That's us! 

There is, of course, a gap between where we are now in our growth, and the fulness of our potential.  Our Heavenly Father (and his servants) are interested and busy in leading us to the next step, and step by step, closer to him and closer to our own maturity (exaltation).

[I wrote this in 1997]

I have talked in a previous blog how we have experienced life and growth before we were born here on this earth; and we can plan on the same (life and growth) after we fulfill mortality.  I also presented for your realization that, by accepting the Atonement of Jesus through faith and covenants, we can live today as eternal life even though we are also in the midst of coming up against or passing through a variety of adversity.
