First Testimony
Posted On 09/28/2008 22:57:47 by HoosierGuy
The last week has been a rollercoaster for me.  I received a book that explains to me how to use the Atonement of Jesus Christ to overcome sins, temptations, bad feelings, depression, and other bad things.  As I was reading this book the last few days, I felt the Spirit lift me up higher and higher.  I felt very strong.  Then, Friday evening I read a few things on lds.net that depressed me.  Then my soul fell like a rock thrown off a skyscraper.  My soul plumme... Day by Day/Finding Faith for the Journey.

Well, it's 5 a.m. and I'm having one of these "I can't breathe" Congestive Heart Failure episodes.  I have a cup of cayenne tea at my elbow, ready to drink it down well it cools a little.  It's just a tiny bit too hot.  I also have a big glass of cold water as a chaser.  I do not like taking cayenne.  But it has kept me out of the hospital a few times, and I think this will be one of them.  I can breathe sitting up, but I cannot breathe when laying down.  Typic... A Court of Love... Part 19
Posted On 09/28/2008 06:44:17 by AnnieO

Despite this I was very apprehensive when I was driving to Church and even more so when I got to t... Read More

"There is a period of Mormon history which has always been a great source of inspiration to me. Emerging out of what I would believe the darkest period of trial and hardship, there broke forth a light of beauty and accomplishment seldom witnessed in the events of mankind."The efforts of the Church to settle in Missouri were met with severe opposition by the residents of that state. Lands were purchased, homes constructed, fields planted, and personal property acquired, only to have most of it st... Read More

KIttens kittens everywhere!
Posted On 09/16/2008 21:07:04 by Aurorasungem
Hi everyone, I had a kind of wild day today.  Someone dumped six kittens at the youth ranch sometime last night here and my sisters roomate took them all in until they can find homes.  So I went over after she took them to give them baths and clean them up a bit. They were pretty filthy when they were found.  I got them all out and one at a time gave them a bath and scrubbed them off.   There were three orange, one white, one grey, and one dark grey.  One of the ora...
