The Tender Mercies of the Lord
Posted On 06/17/2008 09:06:28 by PapilioMemnon
How grateful I feel for the Lord's love in answering our prayers and being merciful unto us. Mike wanted a X-Box 360 which I couldn't give him for several reasons, especially financial ones.
So, he started working and selling chocolates to raise the money to buy one. He went throught the streets & businesses offering to everyone, and was selling well. When people asked him why he was selling chocolates, he answered with the truth: 'ĂŤ'm selling to raise money to buy myself a X-Box 360!"... Read More

When good people go bad, the iron rod path

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and... Read More

A Day of Blessing

Today has been a very special day for the whole family.  Today was the day my baby boy was presented to the Lord for a name and a blessing.  These are one of those many milestones a mother clings to with all her might, cause before you know it, the day is done.  After the big lunch with the whole family and dishes are washed and children are curling up to sleep, I will be left alone with this special spirit, to gaze at him as I ponder on the day and the words spoken.  I... The Blessings of Church Membership as Family

by Brother Keith L. Brown  Building a Christ-like character. . . .   President David O. McKay said: Man’s chief concern in life should not be the acquiring of gold, or of fame, or of material possessions. It should not be the development of physical prowess, nor of intellectual strength, but his aim, the highest in life, should be the development of a Christ-like character.   (David O. McKay, “True to the Faith,” p.32) &nb... Read More
