The final writer in the book of Mormon named Moroni, is an incredible teacher.  As I ponder on the content and the delivery of the message of chapter 10 of his book, I am in awe.  He is able to summarize his thoughts, give counsel, and commit the readers to do something.  At the very end of the book, he does what all chosen people of God do; testify of Christ.

I guess I could blame society. I could blame my upbringing or my lack of opportunity. I could blame any number of things for my lack of understanding of the gospel. Perhaps I will always be trying to understand a very large portion of the basics.

It was last summer that my sister-in-law challenged me to write a book that could help keep our grandchildren close to the Lord. I tried and tried. One day as I was doing my dishes, it came to me and I spent the rest of the day working on a poem about Grandma Adam, Grandpa Joseph, Grandma Esther and so forth. I showed it to my daughter and she loved it and insisted it needed to be a real book. I worked on pictures to go with the poetry. I now have "My Family Tree" about to come out.

This past weekend the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all convened for a general conference.  This happens twice a year and is a two-day conference where the general authorities of the Church give messages to the general audience of the Church, and any other listeners.  The messages are wide-ranging and provide instruction, warning, and counsel to the members of the Church.
