Shocking Episode on HBO's Big Love
Posted On 03/09/2009 13:48:58 by parkerguy
I received this in an email from a friend today and I was shocked at what HBO is planning to air on the March 15 episode of Big Love.  Read on.

Today I am appalled.  HBO, Time Warner, and Tom Hanks' Big Love series will be recreating a LDS excommunication, as well as Temple ceremonies, with the help of an ex-Mormon "consultant" in its Sunday, March 15th episode.  This is outrageous considering the sacred and private nature of these... The Printing Press

I attended the tour for the Crandall Print Museum a couple weeks ago.  I enjoyed it so much.  It was so informative.  I loved how it talked about different eras of the printing press and what great influence it had on the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Johannes Gutenberg was inspired to invent the printing press.  The invention was crucial to the spreading of Christianity, by way of multiple prints of the Bible, and the spreading of the church of Jesus Ch... The New Testament talks a lot about how important it is to do the work needed to aid in the exaltation of those who died having not recieved the opportunity to hear the gospel.&nbs... Read More

Grace

Grace

Grace is possibly the most misunderstood doctrine in the church.  In my observations of church culture, the lack of understanding grace has caused some negative societal outcomes.  I believe that the misinterpretation stems from a verse in the Book of Mormon in 2 Nephi 25:23 which reads” “for we know it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.”&...
