I am going to make this short and sweet; I've been writing all day. I've been reading the really long section 124 in the Doctrine and Covenants over the last week. In this revelation, the Lord is commanding that the Saints build a temple. The temple is a place where the Saints can make covenants and receive further revelation. One of my new favorite sections of the Doctrine and Covenants is section 109. It is such a beautiful prayer, and reminds me of many of the unique elements of the temple. As it says in the chapter heading, it was a "prayer offered at the dedication of the temple at Kirtland, Ohio, March 27, 1836." Our Heavenly Father has promised us more than we could possibly imagine if we are faithful and keep His commandments.
