Spirit Matters

    Spirit Matters

The Holy Ghost, or the Holy Spirit, is somewhat of a mystery to us. It is not tangible, but it can be felt within our hearts. It is not seen, yet it can be with us at all times, or it can be absent from us depending on our worthiness. It can even be conferred upon us in... Read More

How do I know if I've been forgiven?
Posted On 03/31/2009 22:27:06 by zhongting7

A few weeks ago, I was really asking myself that question - how can I be sure if I have been forgiven? I found an answer a couple days ago in Moroni 8:26: "And the remission of sins bringeth meekness, and lowliness of heart; and because of meekness and lowliness of heart cometh the visitation of the Holy Ghost, which Comforter filleth with hope and perfect love, which love endureth by diligence unto prayer..." While some of the noise is wanted, much of it is not. This unwanted noise can be referred to as noise polluti... Read More

Consent of the Governed

“We have transformed the Declaration in our minds by reading the phrase ‘consent of the governed’ as meaning rule by majorities, that is, democratic rule.” As I reflected on this sentence, I thought about my beliefs about forms of government before taking this class. I had previously thought that a democracy would be so much better then our current form of government because every single person would be able to have say in all decisions. I had realized that it would consume large amounts... Read More
