Moving Along

There is a song in the Primary hymns book, "I am like a star shining brightly, shining for the whole world to see, I can do and say, happy things each day, for I know Heavenly Father loves me." What does it mean to be a shining star? I thought it meant to be someone that everyone looked at, to have all the world facing you, and that is what it means but just because people know that you are different does not mean that they will except you.

Saved Sanctified Filled With the Holy Ghost & Sinful?
Posted On 11/01/2008 14:53:20 by prisonchaplain

I often find myself involved in strings about grace vs. works here.  Yet, for those of us who consider ourselves to be in relationship with Jesus, our King, the real matter is what my current state is.  "I'm saved, sanctified (made holy), filled with the holy Ghost (with or without tongues?).  I pray to God daily.  I read my Scriptures.  I talk to people about faith and God and my church.

On Sunday we were driving home from a family dinner—me, my wife, and my sister-in-law. My sister-in-law was anxious to get back home by the university because she had much homework left to do. I smiled, knowing that for the rest of the day, I could relax, read my scriptures, spend time with my wife… I had no other worries.

Before I served a mission, I would tend to do my homework on Sundays. I didn’t consider... Read More

Spiritual Experiences
Posted On 10/19/2008 22:13:52 by MtheK

People might say that miracles don't happen every day. Hey. That's why they're miracles. Right? At least, people don't talk about miracles that happen in their lives all the time. A lot of this stuff is personal. I have experienced such things for myself. I know that they DO happen all of the time though. In this day and age especially, I believe that more of God's children are reaching out to Him to receive of His many blessings. I, myself have been compelled to do so, and I am grateful to h...
