Through the eye of the storm
Posted On 03/19/2008 10:04:04 by Aurorasungem
I remember a time when I was little when my family and I went through a tornado.  What struck me the most till this day is just how quiet everything was before it hit.  In the area where we lived at the time, there were lots of crickets, frogs, birds and animals.  That full day before the storm came, not one bird chirped, not one frog or cricket made a sound, and not one animal was to be seen anywhere.  Even the dogs and cats were hiding and not to be found.

ONe little light

Someone reminded me recently that there is new hope to be found even when it seems all hope is lost.  I went to a funeral yesterday to say goodbye to an old friend, followed by a wedding, an new beginning in life.  It struck me just how often in life people go through both pathways and cannot seem to find which way to turn for answers as to which way to go.

One little step more

I have had several people ask me why I have not dated in so long.  I guess it is a bit of a long story, but some stories need to be told, even with the tears that come with them.  Dating for me was never easy.  My experience with men was always nightmare, so I tend to be extremely cautious in just who I date and how.   I was married three times in life.  The first time I was married, I thought it was perfect.  The guy was a returned missionary; he was sweet an... A new flight

Someone once taught me a valuable lesson about birds.  Birds when they first start to fledge, often try to jump from the nest or any other object they can to try to fly.  Often they fall on their beak and sometimes even get hurt.  Yet they always keep getting up and trying to fly even after a fall until they get it right.
Facing a fear and getting back up and going again is a lesson that we all could learn from.  Like the bird, everyone has times in life where they fall do... Read More

When you believe
Posted On 02/18/2008 10:22:43 by Aurorasungem
I recently was thinking back on a song called when you believe.  I love that song.  The main theme is that there can be miracles when you believe.  That is such a true message in life.  Maybe things will not always go as planned, maybe the darkness will fall in life, death will come, tears will fall, wars may ensue, natural disasters happen, but there will always be one thing that no one can ever take away.  That is the message that God is watching over all, and there ca...
