SLC tuned in to AI Finals

This is really interesting.  When I usually take a peek here at LDS.net around this time, I notice that there are a number of users in the chat room.  Now theres no one there.  I know it's only around 7:45pm there at Salt Lake as I am writting this blog and I think it's still pretty early for anyone's bedtime so I'm guessing that everyone's tuned in to American idol Finals.It is also being shown here live in the Philippines.  I think I'll just be catching the replay tonight....   It seems almost certain that David Archuletta will be crowned the next "American Idol" tonight, after his 'knockout' performance on Tuesday night.

David Archuletta is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He lives about seven miles from me, in Murray Utah. When he was in town two weeks ago, he was asked if he intended to serve a mission for the Church. (many LDS teens serve a two year mission when they reach 18 years old). Yeah! David Archuleta made the final two on American Idol!As expected, it will be David versus David in the final showdown on American idol Season 7.
