My (almost)kiss
Posted On 10/16/2008 02:21:26 by YoungMormonRoyalist
I think it's time to share a funny story with you all. Grade 12 last year was an interesting y ear: We won the regional football championship title for the second time in a row, I won Most-Improved and Best Defensive Player. In terms of school I found a wonderful new teacher who helped me decide to take the humanities in college by the name of Mr. Verhoeven. I joined an improv team, and re-kindled an old friendship.   This story stands out from the rest:   There's this girl in my gradu... Read More

My Conversion

I'll admit that I'm very hesitant to share this experience with people. As often enough such experiences can be ridiculed, and torn apart. The Lord counciled us "Do not throw your pearls before swine." I feel however that I can share this story with you, as you are all either worthy members, or open minded individuals who do not mock the spiritual experiences of others.   What a start to the day. I began to feel overwhelmed slightly, and to be honest very anxious and started to wonder if it was all worth it, then I thought I’ll know I’ll put some music on. I was listening to Never a Better Hero by Kenneth Cope (check it out on Youtube, it’s such a beautiful song).   I decided, “no I’m going to go, I promised myself I would go and I will go”. Despite this I was very apprehensive when I was driving to Church and even more so when I got to t... Read More

A Court of Love... Part 18

Ten minutes to walking out the door to go to my ward... wish me luck!   Hi, I know that I haven’t actually written since August 7, and I’ll explain that it was partly due to me needing a little time to get some perspective on things and because I went on vacation.   I went to my home ward a few times during August, however I didn’t feel “a part” of it, you know? Looking back though I know I was being ridiculous, I sat and listed who I’d spoken to, and who had spoken to me,... Read More
