Nugget For The Day From The Book of Mormon

Alma 58: 41
But behold, they have received many wounds; nevertheless they stand fast in that liberty wherewith God has made them free; and they are strict to remember the Lord their God from day to day; yea, they do observe to keep his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments continually; and their faith is strong in the prophecies concerning that which is to come.I love this verse.  What wonderful examples of righteousness these Ammonite sons were.  This verse gives me gre... Suicide
Posted On 08/26/2008 11:34:29 by workindiligently
I saw a post somewhere about someone who had committed suicide.  I can’t find what I read or who it was by, but I want to share an article on suicide by Elder M. Russell Ballard, of the Quorum of the Twelve, from the October 1987 Ensign called “Suicide: Some Things We Know, and Some We Do Not.”  It is exceptionally written and quotes Elder Bruce R. Finding the light   The darkness had fallen,
the sunlight was calling,

I looked to the sky,
the storms were so high,
that it seemed that no hope here could tame.
There was wind all about,
the heart was in doubt,
Not a whisper of hope or of cheer.
When I saw a light,
still small and bright,
a star through the storm did appear.
If you look up, you'll see the light,
the smallest but brightest, saying it's all... Read More

Mom in College: Blog 2
Posted On 08/13/2008 17:21:08 by MaidservantX
I ordered my books online at the beginning of the month and they are to ship to my house.  Talk about problems being blessings.  I got a call from the bookstore saying, "Blah, blah, blah, we need to exchange, blah, blah, blah."  So finally I got on the phone and we discussed possibilities of how to handle the situation so I could get the proper edition.  But then I mentioned that I had not actually received the book in question, nor any of my other texts except for one separa...
