Teachings of Prophets both Ancient and Modern

This past weekend the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all convened for a general conference.  This happens twice a year and is a two-day conference where the general authorities of the Church give messages to the general audience of the Church, and any other listeners.  The messages are wide-ranging and provide instruction, warning, and counsel to the members of the Church.

Wow.  Another general conference took place this weekend.  It was amazing.  I love that we have the opportunity to hear the word of God come from the mouths of his prophets and other servants.  Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet of God in these latter days.  He receives revelation directly from God for us.  He is there to lead and guide us along the path to Eternal Life.  It is our responsiblilty to faithfully obey and follow in the ways of righteousness i... From the beginning, the LDS church has actively promoted self-governance. This self-governance comes from a few places:

1.) Revelation. Personal revelation is a huge factor in what makes our church unique.
