"Our individual struggles and suffering teach us to relate to the Atonement of Christ in a deep and profound way that cannot be learned through any other experience. Our capacity to show empathy and compassion for another is heightened by our own endurance and suffering. Only through such experiences can a person develop true charity—the pure love of Christ." This is wise advice about life and how to face some of it's challenges.  The mistakes we make may seem impossible to overcome. We can even feel lost in a mire of self-defeat. Nothing is impossible through Jesus Christ.  The Savior has promised His support if we'll just have faith in Him. This will happen a little at a time until gradually we feel secure in knowing we have pleased Him.
