I don't think mixing political biases and religion equates to a merging of "Church and State" when discussed by private individuals, or groups of individuals who are not in a position of public office. Sometimes, I think that if we let it, scripture study can become rote and not meaningful. I know that for me, I am not always as diligent as I should be in "feasting on the words of Christ" or in other words, really digging in and studying with a purpose; but instead, it may be late at night and I only skim a few verses. The other day I was listening to a speech given by one of the Apostles, Elder Holland. Â It was directed to the young people of the Church. Â It was a pretty great talk, as far as I can remember.
