Praying for a testimony
Posted On 09/27/2008 23:20:48 by prisonchaplain

Often we Protestants, and especially we Evangelicals, criticize LDS for seeking a spiritual feeling whenever you want to know what is true.  "The Bible says, I believe it, and that settles it!" we like to exclaim.  However, I find this practice refreshing and biblical.  The most dramatic case in point is Acts 2.  Here are dozens of followers of the Way (Jesus) babbling and expressing great emotion, and 9AM.  Peter stands up and says, "THIS is THAT which was prophesie... Eternal Growth
Posted On 09/16/2008 23:19:21 by timopheous
So from my last blog ill continue with my thoughts on growth and becoming like our Father in heaven. We are his children and have the potential to become like him. So the best i can describe it to myself is that how the plan of salvation is laid out likewise is our growth. The Veil and Crowds
Posted On 09/16/2008 11:16:19 by HoosierGuy
As I was at the U.S. MotoGP race in Indianapolis I felt something special.  My brothers and I were walking to our seats.  As we showed our tickets and started walking in front of the large stands, I looked up at all the people in the stands.  I saw men, women, and some children.  I thought to myself - all those people are my Heavenly Brothers and Sisters.  The veil is close to all of us.  If only we could stick our heads to the other side of the veil,... Have you ever looked at something one way one moment, then entirely another the next?  I think things often change the most when you least expect them to.  I recently attended the dedication ceremony for the twin falls Idaho temple.  I sat and listened as the prophet and leader of our church, talked of his loving wife, who even though she has been very ill, always packed the bags specially for him.  It was touching to see just how deep ran that love for her, and the concern h... SoI had an interesting visit yesterday in the morning
Posted On 08/22/2008 18:56:20 by raulrosalez22
So I have an interesting visit yesterday from my uncle Mr. Rosales.Mr. Rosales is the kind of individual who wants to talk almost every LDS member out of our religion. I am not sure to what denomination he belongs to but he says he is a christian and a follower of the word of Jesus Christ. Well my uncle came to my house yesterday and asked me to give a message to my dad about one of her relatives being sick. So the visit seemed pretty much normal like "Hey how are you doing? Can you tell your da... Read More
