I just read Dr. Holzapfels' blog about the 'Hosanna Shout' and it inspired me to write about my experiences with temple dedications. When I was nine-years-old, I had the opportunity to attend the temple dedication of the Spokane, Washington temple. This weekend I got to attend a broadcast of the dedication of the Draper, UT temple. It was neat to hear insightful talks concerning the ceremony, and to hear the prophet and president of the church give the dedicatory prayer. I'm so grateful that in the church we have the authority and ability to perform these sacred ceremonies that increase our ability to become closer to God.
