What is my testimony worth?
Posted On 08/03/2009 12:14:00 by WmLee

So she and her son sit near me, at the end of the pew.  She looks familiar, but I am only in my home ward a few times out of the month.  This week the reat of my family are away so i can't ask them who this lady is.  About halfway though testimony meeting someone from behind passes me a note; “The lady on your right is an investigator, her first time here”.  I say to myself, “Self”, I say, “you should go and bear your... "I'd rather see a sermon than hear one any day"

We may not ever realize it or care to take notice, but the life that we live and the example that we set before others tells more about the type of person that we truly are than a myriad of words could ever say. I am right now listening to President Hinckley's Spring 2007 talk "The Things of Which I know." I love that talk. I rank it with my top thirty favorite scriptures. What love he showed for people who work hard for those things they believe.

Look this wonderful talk up.

I realise it has been a very long time since I last wrote an entry on this blog. There is valid reason for that! Well maybe valid reason. I’ll let you know once I’ve decided for myself.

As you (those who’ve been kind enough to read my ramblings before!) know, I have had a number of issues with my bishop since my Disciplinary Council. It... Read More

Elder Boulder makes me bolder!
Posted On 04/18/2009 12:34:22 by valjohnjennings

Recently our ward has used a missionary tool of a rock with a face painted on it to do missionary work.  Each Sunday someone is able to have a pocket companion for the week.  This week I took home Elder Boulder.  I do believe in encouraged me to share the gospel.  Like the coin I once had as a boy scout that changed pockets each time you did a good turn, Elder Boulder was my inspiration to hand out pass-along cards each day and to give away a Book of Mormon to a neighbor.&...
