Women in Jesus's life
Posted On 02/17/2009 23:40:36 by marinas

In my New Testament class at BYU, I have learned a lot more about the context of the four Gospels, including their authors and differing perspectives, the culture, the time period, the different groups of people, even what the Jewish religion "looked like" then to different groups. In our class our attention has been drawn specifically to the women who are mentioned, and as I have begun a more serious study of Jesus's life as recorded in the four Gospels, I am amazed... I am here to be a part of the discussion about the new ideas of the mormon church. The younger generations of the church are far more willing to accept progressive ideas about womens rights in the church, Gay marriage, Sexual health (masturbation), alcahol and drug use.

I also got a perfect score on the... Read More

Mom in College: Blog 2
Posted On 08/13/2008 17:21:08 by MaidservantX

I ordered my books online at the beginning of the month and they are to ship to my house.  Talk about problems being blessings.  I got a call from the bookstore saying, "Blah, blah, blah, we need to exchange, blah, blah, blah."  So finally I got on the phone and we discussed possibilities of how to handle the situation so I could get the proper edition.  But then I mentioned that I had not actually received the book in question, nor any of my other texts except for one sep...
