What are these scars?
Posted On 04/13/2008 22:53:46
What are these scars deep in my heart
when will they heal, the pain depart
I look to him, my savior grand
he looks at me and takes my hand
he lifts me up whenever I fall
he helps me up when I hit the wall
he shows me the path to find my way on
where in the darkness the pathway seems gone
He helps my heart heal with greatest of care
guiding me daily he always is there
What are these scars deep in my heart
how long until I find a new start
he guides the way and shows me new hope
learning from trials and just how to cope
he gives me his plan redeems me from sin
and gives me a chance to once more begin
What are these scars deep in my heart
they are where evil has marked on that part
he knows my pain he knows my tears
my inner secrets, my dreams and my fears
he guides the way to come back to him
no more in spirit to have scars so grim
he loves us enough to take those away
if we just trust him and follow his way
What are these scars deep in my soul
they are but a moment until I am whole
he knows of the pain, the burdens of life
he knows of the trials that cut like a knife
he loves each of us and knows of each tear
and he will be there when we need him most near
No more to bear the scars of this earth
each spirit here loved and of great worth
he gave us his heart so perfect and whole
to remove up in heaven the scars on our soul.
He loves us so much there is no way to say
how the heart of the savior takes our pain away
his love for us great both big and the small
he only asks one thing to follow his call.
Come follow him who makes the heart whole
our savior redeemor the balm of my soul.

This was inspired by tonights fireside, on the scars of the soul.  I hope you enjoy it!

Come follow him
Posted On 04/12/2008 22:39:13
If you want to have a dream you have to fly
if you want to see the stars you have to try
if you want to hear the wind then listen well
your heart you have to follow and to tell
Look up and hear the second wind
when the disaster has fallen and someone has sinned
you gotta keep going you gotta stand tall
if you want to continue than heed the call
Come follow me the savior said
come follow me come and be lead
you can make it if you trust me is what he asks
if you can reach on up he never wears masks
just ask for his help and fall to your knees
he hears all your tears and your smallest of pleas
he never gives up on bringing you home
safe to the fold never more to roam
just listen within and do what is right
he is right there, right through all the fight
you are never alone so there's no need to fear
for he is right there and alway is near
through the dark of the night, through the wild of the storm
through the sorrows of life, through the dangers that swarm
he always is there if you reach out your hand
whenever you fall he will help you to stand
He is the Lord, the savior of all
he sends us one straightforward call
come follow me through all your life
Come follow me, he helps through strife
and never again will the darkness of men
leave alone in the darkness again
He will be there, your not alone
whether your small or you are grown
if you listen within then your heart will begin
to hear the great call soft and small
Come follow me
Come and be free
Yes the savior does call
with a voice still and small
if you listen and do what is right and is true
then he will be there whenever you need
If you follow his great lead.

The power of love
Posted On 04/10/2008 09:21:43
Have you ever wondered at the power of the love of the savior?  He gave his all that we could have a second chance in life.  Every drop, every tear that fell on that garden ground was there to allow us a second chance in life.  Can you imagine a pain so intense, so agonizing and great that it made every single pore on the body weep blood?  I was told that to have one square inch of skin in that much pain would put an ordinary man into shock in the hospital, and yet he had every single inch of skin bleeding, and he could have stopped it with a word, but he endured it. Endured it for us to have a second chance in life, to have a chance to be part of the atonement and have the chance to repent and follow him. Let me share with you some of the ideas I saw from Gethsemane.

Bruce McConkie has always been one of my favorite people to refer to, but I wanted to add this because he said it best for the point I wanted to make (Bruce R. McConkie, “The Purifying Power of Gethsemane,” Ensign, May 1985, 9):

"This sacred spot, like Eden where Adam dwelt, like Sinai from whence Jehovah gave his laws, like Calvary where the Son of God gave his life a ransom for many, this holy ground is where the Sinless Son of the Everlasting Father took upon himself the sins of all men on condition of repentance.

We do not know, we cannot tell, no mortal mind can conceive the full import of what Christ did in Gethsemane.

We know he sweat great gouts of blood from every pore as he drained the dregs of that bitter cup his Father had given him.

We know he suffered, both body and spirit, more than it is possible for man to suffer, except it be unto death.

We know that in some way, incomprehensible to us, his suffering satisfied the demands of justice, ransomed penitent souls from the pains and penalties of sin, and made mercy available to those who believe in his holy name.

We know that he lay prostrate upon the ground as the pains and agonies of an infinite burden caused him to tremble and would that he might not drink the bitter cup.

We know that an angel came from the courts of glory to strengthen him in his ordeal, and we suppose it was mighty Michael, who foremost fell that mortal man might be.

As near as we can judge, these infinite agonies—this suffering beyond compare—continued for some three or four hours.

After this—his body then wrenched and drained of strength—he confronted Judas and the other incarnate devils, some from the very Sanhedrin itself; and he was led away with a rope around his neck, as a common criminal, to be judged by the arch-criminals who as Jews sat in Aaron’s seat and who as Romans wielded Caesar’s power.

They took him to Annas, to Caiaphas, to Pilate, to Herod, and back to Pilate. He was accused, cursed, and smitten. Their foul saliva ran down his face as vicious blows further weakened his pain-engulfed body.

With reeds of wrath they rained blows upon his back. Blood ran down his face as a crown of thorns pierced his trembling brow.

But above it all he was scourged, scourged with forty stripes save one, scourged with a multithonged whip into whose leather strands sharp bones and cutting metals were woven.

Many died from scourging alone, but he rose from the sufferings of the scourge that he might die an ignominious death upon the cruel cross of Calvary.

Then he carried his own cross until he collapsed from the weight and pain and mounting agony of it all.

Finally, on a hill called Calvary—again, it was outside Jerusalem’s walls—while helpless disciples looked on and felt the agonies of near death in their own bodies, the Roman soldiers laid him upon the cross.

With great mallets they drove spikes of iron through his feet and hands and wrists. Truly he was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities.

Then the cross was raised that all might see and gape and curse and deride. This they did, with evil venom, for three hours from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Then the heavens grew black. Darkness covered the land for the space of three hours, as it did among the Nephites. There was a mighty storm, as though the very God of Nature was in agony.

And truly he was, for while he was hanging on the cross for another three hours, from noon to 3:00 p.m., all the infinite agonies and merciless pains of Gethsemane recurred.

And, finally, when the atoning agonies had taken their toll—when the victory had been won, when the Son of God had fulfilled the will of his Father in all things—then he said, “It is finished” (John 19:30), and he voluntarily gave up the ghost.

As the peace and comfort of a merciful death freed him from the pains and sorrows of mortality, he entered the paradise of God.

When he had made his soul an offering for sin, he was prepared to see his seed, according to the messianic word.

These, consisting of all the holy prophets and faithful Saints from ages past; these, comprising all who had taken upon them his name, and who, being spiritually begotten by him, had become his sons and his daughters, even as it is with us; all these were assembled in the spirit world, there to see his face and hear his voice.

After some thirty-eight or forty hours—three days as the Jews measured time—our Blessed Lord came to the Arimathaean’s tomb, where his partially embalmed body had been placed by Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathaea.

Then, in a way incomprehensible to us, he took up that body which had not yet seen corruption and arose in that glorious immortality which made him like his resurrected Father.

He then received all power in heaven and on earth, obtained eternal exaltation, appeared unto Mary Magdalene and many others, and ascended into heaven, there to sit down on the right hand of God the Father Almighty and to reign forever in eternal glory.

His rising from death on the third day crowned the Atonement. Again, in some way incomprehensible to us, the effects of his resurrection pass upon all men so that all shall rise from the grave.

As Adam brought death, so Christ brought life; as Adam is the father of mortality, so Christ is the father of immortality.

And without both, mortality and immortality, man cannot work out his salvation and ascend to those heights beyond the skies where gods and angels dwell forever in eternal glory."

He had the power to stop all of this, but his love for God, and his love for all of us was so great that he gave everything, even his very life to give us the chance to come back home. He gave this life for all, but it is up to us to return that love and heed his call.  I look forward to the great and terrible day of his return.  It will be great indeed for him to come back to earth and to stand before us all, but it will be terrible to see how many have fallen in life among friends and family that refuse to listen, refuse to acknowledge his existence, and refuse to even see a touch of what he has to offer.  For those my heart breaks and I hope and pray for them to turn around, or find the answers that will bring them home.
There is a great power in his love for us.  Every spirit is precious in his eyes, and like the shepherd, he goes into the dangerous places of life, wanders through the wilderness of the cities and far reaches of the earth seeking those that are lost, hidden away, blinded by the world and those that are caught and need his aid.  He is the good shepherd, the one who knows us well and loves us best.
There is not one spirit on earth that walks alone, there is not one heart in the darkness that he cannot find, there is not one tear that falls that he does not cry with, and there is not one anguished prayer that he does not hear and answer.  Maybe his answer is not what we want to hear, but if you heed to what he inspires you to do, and truly listen and study it out in your heart, you will find it is the best answer.
God knows what is in the deepest heart, and wants to hear from each of you.  He loves all of you, whoever you may be, and does not care about outside appearance.  He made each of you for a reason, with the particular challenges and trials of life you have to help you become the kind of person he knows you can become.  His great love was to allow you to make the mistakes and falls of life to learn from them, and then he provides ways to help and to support you as you get back up again and head the right direction.  That help comes in the most unusual of ways at times, but it is always there for those that seek it.
From the tattered begger he went forth and lifted them up and taught them.  The great kings he went forth and preached to them.  No man or woman ever is forgotten in his sight. Each and every one of you IS important in his sight, IS a child of god, and IS VERY MUCH LOVED.  Even if you feel that no one in life loves you, never forget that the most supreme God and his son Jesus Christ still love you and always will.  What comfort that gives, to know that you are indeed loved, and there is hope for a brighter future if you keep going at it and keep moving forward and upward toward the way life should be lived.
You are loved, what great power that statement has.  He endured so much for us, from the torture of the garden to the mocking crowds and torment of the cross, giving even his very life to show just how much he loved us.
He hears and knows of every lost sheep out there, and he knows just how much you endure in life too.  He is there, he does care, and he always will be so long as you keep doing what you know is right.  Listen when you know deep down something is not right.  Take care of it then and put a stop to following the wrong pathways of life.  He knows of your secret wanderings and pain, and is trying to help.
You are loved, never forget that.  That is the true power of love, the knowledge that he is there and loves you, each and every one of you, no matter who you are, where you are, and what you are doing.  When you are doing wrong it breaks his heart, but he has never stopped loving you.  You are children of God, and he knows you, each and every one of you.  You have the chance to become what you are meant to be if you are willing to take the chance to trust him enough to help you come home.
You are loved, and he loves you dearly enough to pay whatever price it takes to bring you back.  I know he is there and does care about us.  I know that he lives and gave his life for me, for you, for every single member of my family even those that have wandered from the church astray, and someday hopefully even they will heed his call and return.  God knows and will listen.  He loves all of us and wants us to come back.  Yes sometimes there are problems that arise from the things that were done wrong, but if you continue to follow the path that is right, even if it is hard, people will accept you for who and what you are.  You can return to him, if you are willing to fight the darkness and come back to the church.  It is when you feel the least like coming that you need the worst to be there.
You are loved and can come home.  Be willing and ready to know that he loves you and is calling.  The power of love is great, and if you trust in that love he gives us, the power is there within your heart to do whatever you need to find that way back.  The power of love is a great thing is it not?
Best of blessings and I know that he lives and loves us!

Seeking the light
Posted On 04/05/2008 22:48:45

I walk through the shadow, I look for the light

I listen to hear him, I seek for the right

I feel in my heart now the burdens of life

I know in my battle the pains of my strife

I look for the good things, the bright wings of hope

I follow the pathway and rise up the slope

I watch for the shepherd and heed to the call

I listen forever, to the one still and small

I know in my spirit, that he will be there

to guide where my hand falls with great loving care

he listens to my prayer to my every tear

he knows of the sorrows and all that is dear

he knows of the spirit that I strive to grow

someday to refine it on the pathway I go

He molds it and shapes it with the carvers great hand

he knows every step here, he has it all planned

With the greatest of care he changes our place

and brings us all back to the greatest of grace

with the free will to chose to listen or not

we can chose to be free or chose to be caught

in the snares of the devil, the escape is quite hard

the doorways and windows seem to be barred

the darkness and shadow, wrap all around

and seldom is light seen or there to be found

but the seeker who wishes, can escape and change

by the power of God here and life rearrange

no more there to suffer if they heed the call

the call of the master, the one over all.

Best of blessings everyone, I hope you have a great week!

The most important thing
Posted On 04/03/2008 09:40:33
I guess things were kind of hitting me today, as people are arguing over how best to have a relationship for long term commitment.  I love to see people of all walks at least get along.  I have known both sides of the fence when it comes to rich versus poor.  It is never easy when people are looked down on for not knowing how to behave at a ritzy social gathering, just because they have never had the opportunity to learn how to.
Manners and etiquit are all good things, but they can also be carried to way extremes.  I have seen people get so rediculous over it that they will ostrasize their own family, just for one small slip in how they do things.  Life is not about how well you hold a spoon, or dip your fingers in the rose water.  It is about friends and family.  Those are the truest treasures on earth to have when all is said and done.
I know that the good Lord walked among all kinds of people on earth.  He talked with all kinds of people on earth, including those who were as lost as could be.  He never gave up when it came to giving even his very life for everyone.  Not just the saints on earth, but the lowly craven drunk on the corner, the prostitute on the street, the kid who is caught up in gangs.  He gave it so that they could all have a chance to come home.  That is the key there, the pathway back home.
Once in a while even the most righteous will forget themselves because they are human, and have human failings and faults.  That is part of being human.  People are people, and God knows this.  That is why the plan was created from the beginning to bring us the knowledge of the gospel.  No one is perfect by far, especially if they do not have full knowledge of what is right or what is wrong.
I have been to places where someone is being left out because they are a bit different.  Sometimes those people that are a bit different though turn out to be some of the most contributing and wonderful people in the community if they are given half a chance in life.  It is not always wise to tell anyone that they have to live their life by a certain set of rules that you grew up with, that they may have never heard of or even knew about until that point.  You have to give people a chance and show them the right ways, rather than say here, you will wear this, do this and say this if you want to be around me.
Doors are opened by being a real friend.  Real friends listen when they hear a different viewpoint, and they treat people like they themselves would like to be treated.  Real friends do not put down or cut down others who are around them, they try to find ways to help them overcome their difficulties.  Yes expect to bump heads every so often, as that is normal in life, and people do have different ways of doing things and saying things.
I love to meet new people, and have met people from all kinds of cultures and places.  I have known people who would not touch pork or beef as that is taboo. I have met people that to wear sunglasses in front of them is a dire insult.  I have known others that to look them in the eye is a dire insult.  It all comes down to how people are raised and what their core belief system is.  No two people are exactly alike, and that is the wonderful thing about life.  They all have different talents, abilities, gifts and knowledge that can be unexpected and wonderful.
Yes there are bad people out there too, ones that kill for the pleasure of killing, ones that rape, murder, torture, and lie to get gain.  You will run into those everywhere.  The true treasure lies in finding the real friends, the ones that care about you, and you about them.  Yes there are differences of opinion, but if you talk about them, you can find ways around that.
I am not advocating dating just anyone, but I am saying that you can have friends of all kinds, from all kinds of places and walks of life.  There is nothing wrong with that at all.  I am saying though, rather than restrict things with a set of rules about opening doors and how to hold a teaspoon or whatever, go for the real important stuff, like how much you share common interests, common goals in the gospel, common likes and dislikes, and how well you talk about things and listen.  Go for the important stuff which for me would be, is he temple worthy?  Does he have an active desire and wish to follow the things in the gospel?  Will he honor and obey the teachings of the gospel in his life and be willing to do his best to try to continue to follow the gospel?  Will he be nonjudgemental and respectful of others when they chance to meet?
I think it is far more important to see how someone is following what they profess to believe, than to how well they hold a door or follow perfect etiquit.  I know all too well, that sometimes people never get the chance to learn that, because they come from broken homes, or from poverties door, or from families that for generations came from other cultures that do not have similar customs or ways of doing things.  It is hard for them to adjust to different ways of life if they have never known that their entire life.
Everyone is doing their best to get along in life, and to find that one true place where they can be happy, and find true love and friendship.  Finding that is not always easy, but it can be done if one is willing to take the time to be humble and to be a true christian at heart.  No one is perfect or ever will profess to be unless they are hiding something.  I know I am one of the least perfect people out there, but I try my hardest to be one of the kinds of people that the good Lord would wish me to be.
Someday I want to look up to the good lord and be able to say I did my best.  I think that is all anyone can do.  I am just a  little child in the ways of the gospel, but maybe someday I will grow to understand everything myself.   I just know with all my heart that God loves everyone and wants them to find ways to get along.  He did not put you or I here by accident, but by his very plan and hand in things, he brought us the way to find out who we are, why we are here, and to find our way back to him.
I love God, love the gospel, and love the ways that life has changed my pathway for the better.  I may be a member convert, but I will always stand strong in what I know is right.  I may be a bit of a tomboy and climb a tree or go fishing, but I also know that I am a lady when I need to be too.  It is all a matter of perspective in life.  Not always will things go right, sometimes even a lady will have to dive under the hood of a car if it breaks down, or get into a snowball fight if the situation warrents.  When life gives you lemons, you can make lemonade or you can drop everything and give up.
As for me, I will be the one that is still trying to swim when the flood tides come, and rebuilding when the storms of life take everything from me.  I know that God will provide a way if the will is there.  He also will someday help me find the right kind of guy for me when it comes down to the right time and place.  Until then I will continue to have lots of good friends from all walks of life, and all kinds of places.
I know how to tell the right kind of guy from the wrong, and what kinds of things I will tolerate and will not.
I will never have a guy that is into porn, or smoking or drinking, and I will never have anyone who is not following the key principles of the gospel for myself, because I feel that it is that important.  That does not mean I will not have them as friends, but it means that I will give them a chance to become who and what they were meant to be down the road.  They have as much right to choose for good or ill as myself.
I know where to draw the line too, and there are things that I know are wrong, and will not tolerate in someone.  Ask me sometime if you wish me to go into detail.
I guess the whole point of this is to say that people are people and will do and say things according to what they have learned in life.  Be mindful of that and respectful.  Please learn to listen and talk if you have different ways of doing things and work it out.  There is always chances to have friends, but to reject outright everyone who is different is not Gods path.  It is wise to learn from others and see from anothers viewpoint.  Just remember who you are and what you stand for.  You are daughters and sons of God, never forget that, and be wise in who you choose to date.  Be wise in your friends too, and remember what is the most important in life, to get back to heaven. If things are dragging you the other direction, then think twice about staying there.  You know in your heart what is right and wrong.  Be wise, be strong, and never be afraid to say no.  You have rights too, and those should be respected.  Best of blessings and sorry about the rant, but these things are important.

New puppy
Posted On 03/31/2008 08:03:06
Hi everyone. I am sorry I have delayed a bit in writing, but I have some new pets and my hands have been a tad full lately.  My new puppy is teething, so I have to chase after him a lot, lol.  He even teeths on my clothes!  I am training him not to though.  Right now he is on my lap trying to go after the keyboard, the buttons on my shirt, and my other dog.  It makes for a wild morning, lol.
I had forgotten how much work it is to keep up with a young pup.  This one is pretty wired and very stubborn, so I am having to work hands on with him pretty often.  He does have a very good temprament though too, he just needs to be worked with a bit more.  He is also all puppy, bounces for a while off all four walls, then as soon as you catch him, boom, he falls asleep!
I had to laugh as the othe day he tried to stand up on his back paws, got spooked by a squirrel, then fell over backwards in a full summersault in surprize.  He also falls over backward when scratching, but I think that is a puppy thing.
My other dog just figured out he can play with puppy, but sometimes I think he says he has had enough too, and runs up with me to hide.  He knows I will stop puppy from pouncing him, lol.
It is funny just how much trust these animals put in us too.  They depend on us for shelter, food, love, attention, medical, and physical needs.
I am so glad my little guys came into my life though.  It gets me up and going, and helps me remember to be humble and pick up my shoes.  I think I may have to get a shoe box again until little guy is done teething, lol.
Another thing they teach me is to be humble and patient.  It takes time to housebreak, teach basic tricks, and teach to come to their name and sit and stay.  I do find it interesting that my new dog watches what the older one does and tries to copy him.  I have to make sure that they both learn manners and learn to work together too.  This takes time and hard work, as puppy is still very much pup, and loves to play and gets distracted easily.
In a lot of ways  it is like watching someone take their first steps in the gospel.  They are used to doing things certain ways, and as they learn the rules, they wander, they stray, they get distracted, and sometimes even forget what they are doing.  But with gentle reminders and persistance, eventually they get it and learn the right things to do and how to do them.  They learn all of the rules, the lessons and then are given the choice as to whether to stay with it or what they will do.
I had best run again, pup is tugging on my tablecloth, but I still love the little guy.  Best of blessings and take care.

Hi everyone, I just posted pics of my new family members.  Meet Oreo the black puppy, and my as yet unnamed little boy hedgehog.  The suggestions I have so far are goliath, hokey (as in the hokey pokey), cinnamon, Joe, and Samson.  If you have any suggestions, please help.  I found out he was a boy after I got the hedgie, the gal had him all wrong that owned him and was calling him a her.  It happens easily with these though.  Oreo is settling in well, and although T bear is jealous, I think it will work out.  Best of blessings and take care,

God gave the stars

God gave the stars  by Maraleh

When you look at the stars up above
you can feel the saviors great love
like gems in the velvet of night
so many up sparkling so bright
A sign in the heavens of love from above
A glitter of hope and of love
You see all them sparkling like a diamond in glow
as a reminder that you can sure know
God lives for you and for I
He put reminders on earth and on sky
With the tests all around us
the light surely found us
to brighten the pathway back home
He calls us to never more roam
I look up above at the stars shining bright
scattered across the darkest black night
and then I remember that he put them there
To show us how much he did care
for signs and for wonders the stars show the way
to where the comfort can be found each day
After the storm the stars aways shine
After the winds howl they are there by design
the light always shining and glittering bright
to remind us of hope at the sight
He gives back second chances
as each light up there dances
he gives hope to all lost in the mire
He grants faith through the trials of fire
he gives comfort to grieving
their side never leaving
he knows of the tears of the heart
his love for us will never depart
He holds out his hand
In every land
with a smile and hope for us all
He sends out his marvelous call
Come to me he does say
and he brightens the day
of all those who seek for his aid
by their side he has stayed
The reminders at night
with their marvelous light
remind us that these things are small
just a short time on earth overall
With his marvelous love
he scattered these all above
not just one light but many indeed
to show signs for each spirit in need
of his love for each man
and for his marvelous plan
for the star above jerusalems shore
for that and for so much more
He gave his light to the world
when the storms of life whirled
and his message could not be more plain
he bore for us more than just pain
he gave us the chance to return back up above
how much greater could one ever love
he gave up his life
through the worst kind of strife
on the darkest of nights on the earth
to show us how much we are worth
God gave the stars and so much more
to light the way back to his great door
god gave the stars and hope again
to brighten the homes of all men
God gave us life, and second chance
with the stars celebrating the dance
haleluia shouts ring through the air
For just how much he does care
God gave us the stars he gave us the light
to remember how much he did fight
for each of us, to come back home
never more from him to ever roam
God gave the stars to remember love
shining down from heaven above
Just remember he loves us and never will leave us
when the darkness and storms gather round
Someday he will come with the angels above
with the trumpets ringing the sound
God gave the stars, halelujia rings
for the joy that his life to us brings
for hope and joy, come join the dance
and shout for the second great chance
He saved us all for that great day
when the savior returns back our way
The stars above testify of love
God gave us the stars up above.
Just remember him, when night does fall
the stars up above echo his love
and remind us of his loving call.

Please remember that the stars up there above are the reminder that there is always hope when the darkness falls.  Never forget that.  There is always a way back home, and always second chances.  May you all find those again someday.

The lost sheep by Maraleh

In the darkness that's falling
I hear my lord calling
the words fall soft sweet on my ears
the light there does comfort my tears
In the storms all around
falls that wonderful sound
of him calling my name
the lost sheep still the same
when I wander astray
he comes looking my way
my shepherd so dear
he comes back for me here.
In the pitfalls of life
In the rigors of strife
I hear softly my name
when I bow down in shame
saying come back to me
I will set your soul free
oh the wonderful words
soar on wings up like birds
he picks my soul up
and returns with the cup
to fill my dry soul
and make it new, whole
He gave all that he can
in his marvelous plan
for one lost little sheep
to come back to his keep.
With that still small soft call
he searches for all
those little lost sheep
who fell out of his keep
those who wander astray
he still seeks today
to come back to his home
and never more roam
he brings forth the light
to ease and delight
those who suffer or cry
for all those who try
He lights up the way
to return today
for all those who are lost
he payed every cost
with blood drops like rain
he paid full in pain
in gethsemane
to set us all free.
How greatful I am
for his marvelous plan
to save such as I
Our savior did die
Oh what joy fills the day
When one gone astray
comes back to the fold
back out of the cold
when the darkness does fall
and they heed the call
oh what joy for the earth
for each soul is of worth
Repentence he asks
for these simple tasks
the price fully paid
for the one who has strayed
just come back on home
and do not again roam
Yes come back to stay
Come back here today.

I wrote this one after listening to the parable of the lost sheep.  I love that parable.  it has so much meaning for our day and age.  I hope you enjoy this.
